A group of triathletes from the University of Alicante and other athletes, led by Roberto Cejuela and Alberto Ferriz, have been training in the Alps between France and Switzerland since late June. During this one-month programme that will come to an end next weekend, the athletes have undergone extremely tough, highly demanding training sessions.
A woman from Malaga and a woman from Alicante, Angela Lobato and Paula Soria, exchanged the hard courts at the sports centre for fin sand on the beaches, where they have succeeded as a couple with the biggest future in Spanish beach volleyball.

Ana Tortosa Reyes, rugby player on the UA team, has been called up by the Spanish Olympic Committee to take part in the Youth Olympic Games (http://www.nanjing2014.org/en/) which will take place in Nanjing, China, between 16 and 28 August.
