On 5 April 2019, for the fourth consecutive year, the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation, together with the Regional Department of Education, Research, Culture and Sport and the Spanish Olympic Committee, will be holding the Sports Day.
The University of Alicante will join the celebrations with the following programme, also to mark its 40th anniversary:
Panel discussion on adaptive and inclusive sports and the role of sport in our society, with the participation of renowned experts.
Adaptive and inclusive sports activities, such as 3x3 wheelchair basketball and adaptive scuba diving.
Exhibition game of jugger, a fighting sport played with rubber swords.
Chess, 3x3 football, beach volleyball and tennis-related activities will be offered to promote these sports before the 2019 Spanish University Championships, of which the University of Alicante is a host institution.
All UA members can take part: administration and teaching staff, students, athletes and associations of people with disabilities from Alicante.

Speaker: Jorge Peleteiro Rubio, manager and former member of the Spanish national paralympic football team and person in charge of football at national level.
