The President of the University of Alicante, Manuel Palomar, and Alejandro Lillo, president of FC Jove Español San Vicente, met in the Office of the President this morning to sign a collaboration agreement under which both institutions will organise joint activities.

Women's Spanish Five-a-Side Football Team - call
On occasion of the 6th International Women's Five-a-Side Football Competition of Friendly Matches, held in Moscow, Russia, from 3 to 10 May, the UA team players Amelia Romero De La Flor and Andrea Castelló Cano have been called up to the Spanish team.
This morning, the University of Alicante and the Alicante Sailing Club signed a collaboration agreement to expand the training offer of water sports. The courses will be taught by professionals from both institutions. The first sport will be sailing.
Last Saturday 28 March, the University of Valencia hosted the first Inter-University Goalball Championship in the Valencian Region, with three participants, the universities of Alicante, Miguel Hernández and Valencia.
Goalball is the only paralympic sport specifically designed for blind and partially sighted people. There are two three-player teams. Players rely mainly on hearing in order to know the trajectory of the ball (which contains noise bells), and they also need high spatial ability to always be in the right place at the right time, so as to intercept the ball or throw it with one hand and score a goal.
