UA rowing team member Cristina Gandía won the silver medal at the 18th Spanish Indoor Rowing Championship (senior category), held in Ribadavia, Ourense last weekend. 320 rowers from 55 Spanish clubs, competing in 15 categories, took part in the championship.
One more year, UA rowing team member Cristina Gandía will represent the Valencia Region at the 18th Spanish Indoor Rowing Championship in the senior category. The Galicia Rowing Federation has confirmed that the event will take place at the O Consello Sports Centre (Baixada O Consello, 37, 32400 Ribadavia, Ourense) next Saturday 27 January.
Boulder climbing is a form of rock climbing which can be performed on boulder problems at low heights, which means falls are not serious. No ropes are employed, but climbers' movements must be highly accurate.
In an effort to promote bouldering at the UA rock climbing wall, a complete bouldering circuit is now available, with initial (violet), intermediate (green) and top (red) holds.
UA coach and former international field hockey player Juan Escarré, who won a medal at the Atlanta 1996 Olympics, will take part in World XI Tour To Pakistan, an international event to be held from 16 to 23 January, invited by the International Hockey Federation.
PASS VALIDITY PERIOD EXTENDED
Last December, yearly pass (USC) and swimming pool pass holders could not use them while the boilers were been replaced. Therefore, the validity period of these passes is now extended for a similar period of time.
